Artist Spotlight: MARCO PLUS

You all have probably been hearing this name around for the past couple of years. MARCO PLUS is what I consider one of the best underground rappers, and not "underground" when it comes to his fans and community, but that “underground, deeply lyrical hip-hop sound”.

While I’ve been listening to him for a few years, many new fans are discovering him from Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon, that highlighted many musical artists.

While MARCO PLUS had one of the top performances, his new fans should be able to appreciate that all of his music is just THIS good. The beats he chooses are unique and recognizable and you can tell through his lyrics that he’s a quick thinker. Throughout the years, he’s shown that hiphop comes in different sub-genres.

If you’re a new MARCOPLUS fan:

Start off with his album “Tha Souf Got Sum 2 Say”. This was personally my first album from MARCO that had me hooked. “Lately”, “Lower Freestyle”, “Piece of Cake”, and “Goddamn” are my top favorites.

If you’re a smoker, “JOINTS” is a perfect album for all of your seshes. “Meet me @ tha Ritz” and “Bankhead freestyle” are my top favorites.

Now I don’t want to hop on the bandwagon of new fans, but every album just seems to get better and better. “MARCO PLUS vs. tha Underworld” is my personal album of the year. I don’t often listen to an album all the way through, but I have every song saved with multiple plays on each. It would be hard to recommend top songs when the entire album is all hits, but I’ll leave you all with this :

“fallin’”, “parlay”, “costly”, “gmfu”, “hood news” “venting 2….” I might as well list the entire album.
